On Windows, a symbolic link vulnerability allows a local low-privileged user to escalate privileges to Administrator. During installation, the software writes the file CCFLFamily_07Feb11.edr to C:\\ProgramData\\Portrait Displays\\CW\\data\\i1D3\\ while running with elevated privileges. Because the installer does not properly validate symbolic links or reparse points at the destination path, an attacker can create a malicious link that redirects the write operation to an arbitrary system location, enabling arbitrary file creation or overwrite with elevated privileges.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-59"],"references":["https://www.portrait.com/dell","https://www.portrait.com/dell-security-cve-updates/"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:35:16.954578616+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-34883","score":0.00144,"percentile":0.03653,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
