From 0.16.0 to before 0.19.0, a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in download_bytes_from_url allows any actor who can control batch input JSON to make the vLLM batch runner issue arbitrary HTTP/HTTPS requests from the server, without any URL validation or domain restrictions.\nThis can be used to target internal services (e.g. cloud metadata endpoints or internal HTTP APIs) reachable from the vLLM host. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.19.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:L","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/vllm-project/vllm/security/advisories/GHSA-pf3h-qjgv-vcpr"],"products":["vllm:vllm"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:28:59.047572785+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-34753","score":0.00246,"percentile":0.15861,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-pf3h-qjgv-vcpr","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-pf3h-qjgv-vcpr","summary":"vLLM: Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in `download_bytes_from_url `","modified":"2026-09-10T03:51:02.412011525Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"vllm","purl":"pkg:pypi/vllm","ranges":[">=0.16.0 <0.19.0"],"fixed":["0.19.0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-3410","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-3410","summary":"vLLM: Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in `download_bytes_from_url `","modified":"2026-07-13T16:32:59.514050161Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"vllm","purl":"pkg:pypi/vllm","ranges":[">=0.16.0 <0.19.0"],"fixed":["0.19.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
