From version 7.0.0 to before version 7.1.5, a stored XSS vulnerability exists in DbGate because attacker-controlled SVG icon strings are rendered as raw HTML without sanitization. In the web UI this allows script execution in another user's browser; in the Electron desktop app this can escalate to local code execution because Electron is configured with nodeIntegration: true and contextIsolation: false. This issue has been patched in version 7.1.5.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.2},"cwes":["CWE-79","CWE-94"],"references":["https://github.com/dbgate/dbgate/commit/a7d2ed11f3f3d4dfb5d2e4e5467dedafa5fa947e","https://github.com/dbgate/dbgate/releases/tag/v7.1.5","https://github.com/dbgate/dbgate/security/advisories/GHSA-35xm-qvjg-8m42"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:28:18.033120106+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-34725","score":0.00175,"percentile":0.06925,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-35xm-qvjg-8m42","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-35xm-qvjg-8m42","summary":"dbgate-web: Stored XSS in applicationIcon leads to potential RCE in Electron due to unsafe renderer configuration","modified":"2026-04-06T17:39:23.866361Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"dbgate-web","purl":"pkg:npm/dbgate-web","ranges":[">=7.0.0 <7.1.5"],"fixed":["7.1.5"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
