{"cve":"CVE-2026-34526","nvd":{"published":"2026-04-02T18:16:29.917","modified":"2026-07-24T21:10:00.143","status":"Analyzed","description":"SillyTavern is a locally installed user interface that allows users to interact with text generation large language models, image generation engines, and text-to-speech voice models. Prior to version 1.17.0, in src/endpoints/search.js, the hostname is checked against /^\\d+\\.\\d+\\.\\d+\\.\\d+$/. This only matches literal dotted-quad IPv4 (e.g. 127.0.0.1, 10.0.0.1). It does not catch: localhost (hostname, not dotted-quad), [::1] (IPv6 loopback), and DNS names resolving to internal addresses (e.g. localtest.me -> 127.0.0.1). A separate port check (urlObj.port !== '') limits exploitation to services on default ports (80/443), making this lower severity than a fully unrestricted SSRF. This issue has been patched in version 1.17.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":5.0},"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/SillyTavern/SillyTavern/releases/tag/1.17.0","https://github.com/SillyTavern/SillyTavern/security/advisories/GHSA-wm7j-m6jm-8797","https://github.com/SillyTavern/SillyTavern/security/advisories/GHSA-wm7j-m6jm-8797"],"products":["sillytavern:sillytavern"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:28:18.033120106+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-34526","score":0.00217,"percentile":0.12156,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-wm7j-m6jm-8797","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-wm7j-m6jm-8797","summary":"SillyTavern: Incomplete IP validation in /api/search/visit allows SSRF via localhost and IPv6","modified":"2026-04-06T17:37:51.914067Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"sillytavern","purl":"pkg:npm/sillytavern","ranges":["<1.17.0"],"fixed":["1.17.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
