{"cve":"CVE-2026-34208","nvd":{"published":"2026-04-06T16:16:34.580","modified":"2026-10-26T22:10:00.163","status":"Analyzed","description":"SandboxJS is a JavaScript sandboxing library. Prior to 0.8.36, SandboxJS blocks direct assignment to global objects (for example Math.random = ...), but this protection can be bypassed through an exposed callable constructor path: this.constructor.call(target, attackerObject). Because this.constructor resolves to the internal SandboxGlobal function and Function.prototype.call is allowed, attacker code can write arbitrary properties into host global objects and persist those mutations across sandbox instances in the same process. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.8.36.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":10.0},"cwes":["CWE-693","CWE-915"],"references":["https://github.com/nyariv/SandboxJS/security/advisories/GHSA-2gg9-6p7w-6cpj"],"products":["nyariv:sandboxjs"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-26T22:26:44.656832877+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-34208","score":0.00561,"percentile":0.46386,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-2gg9-6p7w-6cpj","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-2gg9-6p7w-6cpj","summary":"SandboxJS: Sandbox integrity escape ","modified":"2026-04-06T23:35:35.446815Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@nyariv/sandboxjs","purl":"pkg:npm/%40nyariv/sandboxjs","ranges":["<0.8.36"],"fixed":["0.8.36"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
