Prior to version RELEASE.2026-03-26T21-24-40Z, a flaw in extractMetadataFromMime() allows any authenticated user with s3:PutObject permission to inject internal server-side encryption metadata into objects by sending crafted X-Minio-Replication-* headers on a normal PutObject request. This issue has been patched in version RELEASE.2026-03-26T21-24-40Z.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":7.1},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:H","score":7.1},"cwes":["CWE-287"],"references":["https://github.com/minio/minio/security/advisories/GHSA-3rh2-v3gr-35p9"],"products":["minio:minio"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:28:18.033120106+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-34204","score":0.00129,"percentile":0.02507,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-3rh2-v3gr-35p9","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-3rh2-v3gr-35p9","summary":"MinIO is Vulnerable to SSE Metadata Injection via Replication Headers","modified":"2026-10-08T08:11:01.800046379Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/minio/minio","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/minio/minio","ranges":[">=0.0.0-20240328174456-468a9fae83e9 <=0.0.0-20260212201848-7aac2a2c5b7c"],"fixed":[]}]},{"id":"GO-2026-4896","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-4896","summary":"MinIO is Vulnerable to SSE Metadata Injection via Replication Headers in github.com/minio/minio","modified":"2026-10-08T08:11:01.800046379Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/minio/minio","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/minio/minio","ranges":[">=0.0.0-20240328174456-468a9fae83e9"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
