Prior to version 2.24.0, SignalK Server contains a code-level vulnerability in its OIDC login and logout handlers where the unvalidated HTTP Host header is used to construct the OAuth2 redirect_uri. Because the redirectUri configuration is silently unset by default, an attacker can spoof the Host header to steal OAuth authorization codes and hijack user sessions in realistic deployments as The OIDC provider will then send the authorization code to whatever domain was injected. This issue has been patched in version 2.24.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":6.1},"cwes":["CWE-346","CWE-601"],"references":["https://github.com/SignalK/signalk-server/releases/tag/v2.24.0","https://github.com/SignalK/signalk-server/security/advisories/GHSA-cxj8-ggf2-p57c","https://github.com/SignalK/signalk-server/security/advisories/GHSA-cxj8-ggf2-p57c"],"products":["signalk:signal_k_server"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:28:18.033120106+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-34083","score":0.00116,"percentile":0.01609,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-cxj8-ggf2-p57c","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-cxj8-ggf2-p57c","summary":"Signal K Server: OAuth Authorization Code Theft via Unvalidated Host Header in OIDC Flow","modified":"2026-04-03T21:56:24.398471Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"signalk-server","purl":"pkg:npm/signalk-server","ranges":[">=2.20.0 <2.24.0"],"fixed":["2.24.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
