Prior to version 1.5.1, the `_read_flow` helper in `src/backend/base/langflow/api/v1/flows.py` branched on the `AUTO_LOGIN` setting to decide whether to filter by `user_id`. When `AUTO_LOGIN` was `False` (i.e., authentication was enabled), neither branch enforced an ownership check — the query returned any flow matching the given UUID regardless of who owned it. This allowed any authenticated user to read any other user's flow, including embedded plaintext API keys; modify the logic of another user's AI agents, and/or delete flows belonging to other users. The vulnerability was introduced by the conditional logic that was meant to accommodate public/example flows (those with `user_id = NULL`) under auto-login mode, but inadvertently left the authenticated path without an ownership filter. The fix in version 1.5.1 removes the `AUTO_LOGIN` conditional entirely and unconditionally scopes the query to the requesting user.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.7},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-639","CWE-862"],"references":["https://github.com/langflow-ai/langflow/pull/8956","https://github.com/langflow-ai/langflow/security/advisories/GHSA-8c4j-f57c-35cf"],"products":["langflow:langflow","langflow:langflow-base"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-26T22:26:44.656832877+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-34046","score":0.00477,"percentile":0.40898,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-8c4j-f57c-35cf","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-8c4j-f57c-35cf","summary":"Langflow: Authenticated Users Can Read, Modify, and Delete Any Flow via Missing Ownership Check","modified":"2026-07-13T16:43:44.480752312Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"langflow","purl":"pkg:pypi/langflow","ranges":["<1.5.1"],"fixed":["1.5.1"]},{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"langflow-base","purl":"pkg:pypi/langflow-base","ranges":["<0.5.1"],"fixed":["0.5.1"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2567","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2567","summary":"Langflow: Authenticated Users Can Read, Modify, and Delete Any Flow via Missing Ownership Check","modified":"2026-07-13T16:43:44.480752312Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"langflow","purl":"pkg:pypi/langflow","ranges":["<1.5.1"],"fixed":["1.5.1"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2570","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2570","summary":"Langflow: Authenticated Users Can Read, Modify, and Delete Any Flow via Missing Ownership Check","modified":"2026-07-13T16:43:44.480752312Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"langflow-base","purl":"pkg:pypi/langflow-base","ranges":["<0.5.1"],"fixed":["0.5.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
