{"cve":"CVE-2026-33951","nvd":{"published":"2026-04-02T17:16:23.200","modified":"2026-07-24T21:10:00.143","status":"Analyzed","description":"Signal K Server is a server application that runs on a central hub in a boat. Prior to version 2.24.0-beta.1, the SignalK Server exposes an unauthenticated HTTP endpoint that allows remote attackers to modify navigation data source priorities. This endpoint, accessible via PUT /signalk/v1/api/sourcePriorities, does not enforce authentication or authorization checks and directly assigns user-controlled input to the server configuration. As a result, attackers can influence which GPS, AIS, or other sensor data sources are trusted by the system. The changes are immediately applied and persisted to disk, allowing the manipulation to survive server restarts. This issue has been patched in version 2.24.0-beta.1.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":6.9},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-284","CWE-306"],"references":["https://github.com/SignalK/signalk-server/releases/tag/v2.24.0-beta.1","https://github.com/SignalK/signalk-server/security/advisories/GHSA-gfmv-vh34-h2x5"],"products":["signalk:signal_k_server"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:28:18.033120106+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-33951","score":0.00322,"percentile":0.25281,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-gfmv-vh34-h2x5","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-gfmv-vh34-h2x5","summary":"Signal K Server: Unauthenticated Source Priorities Manipulation ","modified":"2026-04-06T23:34:46.536337Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"signalk-server","purl":"pkg:npm/signalk-server","ranges":["<2.24.0-beta.1"],"fixed":["2.24.0-beta.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
