{"cve":"CVE-2026-33915","nvd":{"published":"2026-03-26T00:16:39.303","modified":"2026-06-17T10:38:18.753","status":"Analyzed","description":"OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to version 8.0.0.3, five insurance company REST API routes are missing the `RestConfig::request_authorization_check()` call that every other data-modifying route in the standard API uses. This allows any authenticated API user to create and modify insurance company records even if their OpenEMR user account does not have administrative ACL permissions. Version 8.0.0.3 patches the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-862"],"references":["https://github.com/openemr/openemr/commit/976d2a85f024a730955578597a82c083067a72b4","https://github.com/openemr/openemr/releases/tag/v8_0_0_3","https://github.com/openemr/openemr/security/advisories/GHSA-ww94-26v7-x4gp"],"products":["open-emr:openemr"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:28:18.033120106+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-33915","score":0.00236,"percentile":0.1463,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
