Prior to version 3.6.2, the Siyuan kernel exposes an unauthenticated file-serving endpoint under `/appearance/*filepath.` Due to improper path sanitization, attackers can perform directory traversal and read arbitrary files accessible to the server process. Authentication checks explicitly exclude this endpoint, allowing exploitation without valid credentials. Version 3.6.2 fixes this issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-22","CWE-73"],"references":["https://github.com/siyuan-note/siyuan/commit/009bb598b3beccc972aa5f1ed88b3b224326bf2a","https://github.com/siyuan-note/siyuan/security/advisories/GHSA-hhgj-gg9h-rjp7","https://github.com/siyuan-note/siyuan/security/advisories/GHSA-hhgj-gg9h-rjp7"],"products":["b3log:siyuan"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:26:19.218427112+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-33476","score":0.03256,"percentile":0.88355,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-hhgj-gg9h-rjp7","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-hhgj-gg9h-rjp7","summary":"Siyuan has an Unauthenticated Arbitrary File Read via Path Traversal","modified":"2026-03-25T19:47:17.043287Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/siyuan-note/siyuan/kernel","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/siyuan-note/siyuan/kernel","ranges":["<=0.0.0-20260317012524-fe4523fff2c8"],"fixed":[]}]},{"id":"GO-2026-4802","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-4802","summary":"Siyuan has an Unauthenticated Arbitrary File Read via Path Traversal in github.com/siyuan-note/siyuan/kernel","modified":"2026-03-23T18:45:23.488062Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/siyuan-note/siyuan/kernel","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/siyuan-note/siyuan/kernel","ranges":["all versions"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
