{"cve":"CVE-2026-33431","nvd":{"published":"2026-04-20T21:16:34.823","modified":"2026-06-17T10:37:29.353","status":"Analyzed","description":"Roxy-WI is a web interface for managing Haproxy, Nginx, Apache and Keepalived servers. Prior to version 8.2.6.4, the POST /config/<service>/show API endpoint accepts a configver parameter that is directly appended to a base directory path to construct a local file path, which is subsequently opened and its contents returned to the caller. The existing path traversal guard only inspects the base directory variable (which is never user-controlled) and entirely ignores the user-supplied configver value. An authenticated attacker can supply a configver value containing `../` sequences to escape the intended directory and read arbitrary files accessible to the web application process. Version 8.2.6.4 contains a patch for the issue.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:P","score":5.7},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-24"],"references":["https://github.com/roxy-wi/roxy-wi/commit/d4d100067dd0ee04317f05d3b51be8fcfdc3f802","https://github.com/roxy-wi/roxy-wi/security/advisories/GHSA-w3c9-36jf-qrw4","https://github.com/roxy-wi/roxy-wi/security/advisories/GHSA-w3c9-36jf-qrw4"],"products":["roxy-wi:roxy-wi"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:30:49.762551342+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-33431","score":0.00392,"percentile":0.33314,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
