Versions prior to 1.6.0 panic when processing NGAP messages with invalid PDU Session IDs outside of 1-15. An attacker able to send crafted NGAP messages to Ella Core can crash the process, causing service disruption for all connected subscribers. No authentication is required. Version 1.6.0 added PDU Session ID validations during NGAP message handling.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-129"],"references":["https://github.com/ellanetworks/core/security/advisories/GHSA-q669-4gmv-g8mf"],"products":["ellanetworks:ella_core"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:26:19.218427112+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-33281","score":0.00409,"percentile":0.35159,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-q669-4gmv-g8mf","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-q669-4gmv-g8mf","summary":"Ella Core panics on invalid PDU Session IDs in NGAP messages","modified":"2026-03-25T21:05:00.496216Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/ellanetworks/core","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/ellanetworks/core","ranges":["<1.6.0"],"fixed":["1.6.0"]}]},{"id":"GO-2026-4783","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-4783","summary":"Ella Core panics on invalid PDU Session IDs in NGAP messages in github.com/ellanetworks/core","modified":"2026-03-23T18:45:18.912027Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/ellanetworks/core","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/ellanetworks/core","ranges":["<1.6.0"],"fixed":["1.6.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
