In versions 7.5.1 through 7.13.1, when using Framework Mode with pre-rendering enabled, improper neutralization of the HTTP `Location` header value can permit Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in the statically generated HTML files if the redirect location comes from an untrusted source. This does not impact applications using Declarative Mode (`<BrowserRouter>`) or Data Mode (`createBrowserRouter/<RouterProvider>`). This is patched in version 7.13.2.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://github.com/remix-run/react-router/security/advisories/GHSA-f22v-gfqf-p8f3"],"products":["shopify:react-router"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:37:48.043517290+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-33244","score":0.00144,"percentile":0.03711,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-f22v-gfqf-p8f3","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-f22v-gfqf-p8f3","summary":"React Router has stored XSS via unescaped Location header in prerendered redirect HTML","modified":"2026-09-08T16:45:04.231964105Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"react-router","purl":"pkg:npm/react-router","ranges":[">=7.5.1 <7.13.2"],"fixed":["7.13.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
