{"cve":"CVE-2026-33011","nvd":{"published":"2026-03-20T05:16:15.043","modified":"2026-06-17T10:36:46.587","status":"Analyzed","description":"Nest is a framework for building scalable Node.js server-side applications. In versions 11.1.15 and below, a NestJS application using @nestjs/platform-fastify GET middleware can be bypassed because Fastify automatically redirects HEAD requests to the corresponding GET handlers (if they exist). As a result: middleware will be completely skipped, the HTTP response won't include a body (since the response is truncated when redirecting a HEAD request to a GET handler), and the actual handler will still be executed. This issue is fixed in version 11.1.16.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:H/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.7},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-670"],"references":["https://github.com/nestjs/nest/commit/cbdf737cd6e7cefa52d05ecea2ae4af95c464614","https://github.com/nestjs/nest/releases/tag/v11.1.17","https://github.com/nestjs/nest/security/advisories/GHSA-wf42-42fg-fg84"],"products":["nestjs:nest"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:26:19.218427112+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-33011","score":0.00352,"percentile":0.28848,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-wf42-42fg-fg84","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-wf42-42fg-fg84","summary":"Nest Fastify HEAD Request Middleware Bypass","modified":"2026-03-20T21:37:35.417540Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@nestjs/platform-fastify","purl":"pkg:npm/%40nestjs/platform-fastify","ranges":["<11.1.16"],"fixed":["11.1.16"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
