{"cve":"CVE-2026-32933","nvd":{"published":"2026-03-20T03:16:00.430","modified":"2026-06-17T10:36:35.263","status":"Analyzed","description":"AutoMapper is a convention-based object-object mapper in .NET. Versions prior to 15.1.1 and 16.1.1 are vulnerable to a Denial of Service (DoS) attack. When mapping deeply nested object graphs, the library uses recursive method calls without enforcing a default maximum depth limit. This allows an attacker to provide a specially crafted object graph that exhausts the thread's stack memory, triggering a `StackOverflowException` and causing the entire application process to terminate. Versions 15.1.1 and 16.1.1 fix the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-674"],"references":["https://github.com/LuckyPennySoftware/AutoMapper/commit/0afaf1e91648fca1a57512e94dd00a76ee016816","https://github.com/LuckyPennySoftware/AutoMapper/releases/tag/v15.1.1","https://github.com/LuckyPennySoftware/AutoMapper/releases/tag/v16.1.1","https://github.com/LuckyPennySoftware/AutoMapper/security/advisories/GHSA-rvv3-g6hj-g44x"],"products":["luckypennysoftware:automapper"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:26:19.218427112+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-32933","score":0.00552,"percentile":0.46143,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
