Versions up to and including 0.28.11 has a SQL injection vulnerability in JSON path compilation for MySQL and SQLite dialects. The `visitJSONPathLeg()` function appends user-controlled values from `.key()` and `.at()` directly into single-quoted JSON path string literals (`'$.key'`) without escaping single quotes. An attacker can break out of the JSON path string context and inject arbitrary SQL. This is inconsistent with `sanitizeIdentifier()`, which properly doubles delimiter characters for identifiers — both are non-parameterizable SQL constructs requiring manual escaping, but only identifiers are protected. Version 0.28.12 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N","score":8.2},"cwes":["CWE-89"],"references":["https://github.com/kysely-org/kysely/commit/0a602bff2f442f6c26d5e047ca8f8715179f6d24","https://github.com/kysely-org/kysely/releases/tag/v0.28.12","https://github.com/kysely-org/kysely/security/advisories/GHSA-wmrf-hv6w-mr66"],"products":["kysely:kysely"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:26:19.218427112+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-32763","score":0.00426,"percentile":0.36942,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-wmrf-hv6w-mr66","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-wmrf-hv6w-mr66","summary":"SQL Injection via unsanitized JSON path keys when ignoring/silencing compilation errors or using `Kysely<any>`.","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:41.567507662Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"kysely","purl":"pkg:npm/kysely","ranges":[">=0.26.0 <0.28.12"],"fixed":["0.28.12"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
