{"cve":"CVE-2026-32638","nvd":{"published":"2026-03-18T21:16:26.770","modified":"2026-06-17T10:36:08.737","status":"Analyzed","description":"StudioCMS is a server-side-rendered, Astro native, headless content management system. Prior to 0.4.4, the REST API `getUsers` endpoint in StudioCMS uses the attacker-controlled `rank` query parameter to decide whether owner accounts should be filtered from the result set. As a result, an admin token can request `rank=owner` and receive owner account records, including IDs, usernames, display names, and email addresses, even though the adjacent `getUser` endpoint correctly blocks admins from viewing owner users. This is an authorization inconsistency inside the same user-management surface. Version 0.4.4 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":2.7},"cwes":["CWE-639"],"references":["https://github.com/withstudiocms/studiocms/commit/aebe8bcb3618bb07c6753e3f5c982c1fe6adea64","https://github.com/withstudiocms/studiocms/releases/tag/studiocms@0.4.4","https://github.com/withstudiocms/studiocms/security/advisories/GHSA-xvf4-ch4q-2m24"],"products":["studiocms:studiocms"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:26:19.218427112+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-32638","score":0.00389,"percentile":0.33082,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-xvf4-ch4q-2m24","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-xvf4-ch4q-2m24","summary":"StudioCMS REST getUsers Exposes Owner Account Records to Admin Tokens","modified":"2026-03-18T22:01:30.322032Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"studiocms","purl":"pkg:npm/studiocms","ranges":["<0.4.4"],"fixed":["0.4.4"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
