Prior to 3.0.14, the create_function(args, code) function passes both parameters directly to the Function constructor without any sanitization, allowing arbitrary code execution. This is distinct from CVE-2026-29091 which was call_user_func_array using eval() in v2.x. This finding affects create_function using new Function() in v3.x. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.0.14.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-94","CWE-88"],"references":["https://github.com/locutusjs/locutus/releases/tag/v3.0.14","https://github.com/locutusjs/locutus/security/advisories/GHSA-vh9h-29pq-r5m8","https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-32304","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2447200","https://security.access.redhat.com/data/csaf/v2/vex/2026/cve-2026-32304.json"],"products":["locutus:locutus"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:25:53.701907451+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-32304","score":0.00587,"percentile":0.48066,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-vh9h-29pq-r5m8","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-vh9h-29pq-r5m8","summary":"Locutus vulnerable to RCE via unsanitized input in create_function()","modified":"2026-03-16T17:16:36.965889Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"locutus","purl":"pkg:npm/locutus","ranges":["<3.0.14"],"fixed":["3.0.14"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
