Prior to 8.0.0.2, DOM-based stored XSS in the jQuery SearchHighlight plugin (`library/js/SearchHighlight.js`) allows an authenticated user with encounter form write access to inject arbitrary JavaScript that executes in another clinician's browser session when they use the search/find feature on the Custom Report page. The plugin reverses server-side HTML entity encoding by reading decoded text from DOM text nodes, concatenating it into a raw HTML string, and passing it to jQuery's `$()` constructor for HTML parsing. Version 8.0.0.2 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":4.4},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://github.com/openemr/openemr/commit/70a41122c6d75ebcd219ba2a2535e93a6c188151","https://github.com/openemr/openemr/security/advisories/GHSA-q283-5j7f-r6hp","https://github.com/openemr/openemr/security/advisories/GHSA-q283-5j7f-r6hp"],"products":["open-emr:openemr"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:26:19.218427112+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-32119","score":0.00162,"percentile":0.05388,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
