Prior to 7.0.0, the ha-mcp OAuth consent form renders user-controlled parameters via Python f-strings with no HTML escaping. An attacker who can reach the OAuth endpoint and convince the server operator to follow a crafted authorization URL could execute JavaScript in the operator's browser. This affects only users running the beta OAuth mode (ha-mcp-oauth), which is not part of the standard setup and requires explicit configuration. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.0.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":4.7},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://github.com/homeassistant-ai/ha-mcp/security/advisories/GHSA-pf93-j98v-25pv"],"products":["homeassistant-ai:home_assistant_mcp_server"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:25:53.701907451+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-32112","score":0.00192,"percentile":0.08897,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-pf93-j98v-25pv","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-pf93-j98v-25pv","summary":"ha-mcp has XSS via Unescaped HTML in OAuth Consent Form","modified":"2026-07-13T16:42:31.702099396Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"ha-mcp","purl":"pkg:pypi/ha-mcp","ranges":["<7.0.0"],"fixed":["7.0.0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2508","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2508","summary":"ha-mcp has XSS via Unescaped HTML in OAuth Consent Form","modified":"2026-07-13T16:31:56.109102148Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"ha-mcp","purl":"pkg:pypi/ha-mcp","ranges":["<7.0.0"],"fixed":["7.0.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
