Prior to 7.0.0, the ha-mcp OAuth consent form (beta feature) accepts a user-supplied ha_url and makes a server-side HTTP request to {ha_url}/api/config with no URL validation. An unauthenticated attacker can submit arbitrary URLs to perform internal network reconnaissance via an error oracle. Two additional code paths in OAuth tool calls (REST and WebSocket) are affected by the same primitive. The primary deployment method (private URL with pre-configured HOMEASSISTANT_TOKEN) is not affected. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.0.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/homeassistant-ai/ha-mcp/security/advisories/GHSA-fmfg-9g7c-3vq7"],"products":["homeassistant-ai:home_assistant_mcp_server"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:25:53.701907451+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-32111","score":0.00295,"percentile":0.22167,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-fmfg-9g7c-3vq7","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-fmfg-9g7c-3vq7","summary":"ha-mcp OAuth 2.1 DCR mode enables network reconnaissance via an error oracle","modified":"2026-07-13T16:42:28.126024668Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"ha-mcp","purl":"pkg:pypi/ha-mcp","ranges":["<7.0.0"],"fixed":["7.0.0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2507","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2507","summary":"ha-mcp OAuth 2.1 DCR mode enables network reconnaissance via an error oracle","modified":"2026-07-13T16:31:56.101495359Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"ha-mcp","purl":"pkg:pypi/ha-mcp","ranges":["<7.0.0"],"fixed":["7.0.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
