Prior to 0.4.3, the updateUserNotifications endpoint accepts a user ID from the request payload and uses it to update that user's notification preferences. It checks that the caller is logged in but never verifies that the caller owns the target account (id !== userData.user.id). Any authenticated visitor can modify notification preferences for any user, including disabling admin notifications to suppress detection of malicious activity. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.4.3.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:L","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-639"],"references":["https://github.com/withstudiocms/studiocms/security/advisories/GHSA-9v82-xrm4-mp52"],"products":["studiocms:studiocms"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:25:53.701907451+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-32104","score":0.00269,"percentile":0.19055,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-9v82-xrm4-mp52","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-9v82-xrm4-mp52","summary":"StudioCMS: IDOR in User Notification Preferences Allows Any Authenticated User to Modify Any User's Settings","modified":"2026-03-14T03:11:22.405380Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"studiocms","purl":"pkg:npm/studiocms","ranges":["<0.4.3"],"fixed":["0.4.3"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
