This vulnerability can only be exploited by users with administrative privileges (Application Applet Management or Virtual Application Management permissions). Attackers can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code within the JumpServer Core container. The vulnerability arises from unsafe use of Jinja2 template rendering when processing user-uploaded YAML configuration files. When a user uploads an Applet or VirtualApp ZIP package, the manifest.yml file is rendered through Jinja2 without sandbox restrictions, allowing template injection attacks.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":6.8},"cwes":["CWE-1336"],"references":["https://github.com/jumpserver/jumpserver/pull/16608","https://github.com/jumpserver/jumpserver/security/advisories/GHSA-qx8h-rx2j-j5wc"],"products":["fit2cloud:jumpserver"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:25:53.701907451+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-31864","score":0.00369,"percentile":0.30774,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
