Prior to version 3.33.4, a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in Budibase's REST datasource connector. The platform's SSRF protection mechanism (IP blacklist) is rendered completely ineffective because the BLACKLIST_IPS environment variable is not set by default in any of the official deployment configurations. When this variable is empty, the blacklist function unconditionally returns false, allowing all requests through without restriction. This issue has been patched in version 3.33.4.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:L","score":9.9},"cwes":["CWE-918","CWE-1188"],"references":["https://github.com/Budibase/budibase/commit/5b0fe83d4ece52696b62589cba89ef50cc009732","https://github.com/Budibase/budibase/pull/18236","https://github.com/Budibase/budibase/releases/tag/3.33.4","https://github.com/Budibase/budibase/security/advisories/GHSA-7r9j-r86q-7g45"],"products":["budibase:budibase"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:28:59.047572785+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-31818","score":0.00377,"percentile":0.31356,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-7r9j-r86q-7g45","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-7r9j-r86q-7g45","summary":"Budibase: Server-Side Request Forgery via REST Connector with Empty Default Blacklist","modified":"2026-04-03T21:56:24.767594Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@budibase/backend-core","purl":"pkg:npm/%40budibase/backend-core","ranges":["<3.33.4"],"fixed":["3.33.4"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
