From 0.13.0 to before 0.13.9, a specially crafted WindowUpdate can cause arithmetic overflow in send-window accounting, which triggers a panic in the connection state machine. This is remotely reachable over a normal network connection and does not require authentication. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.13.9.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.7},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-190"],"references":["https://github.com/libp2p/rust-yamux/security/advisories/GHSA-4w32-2493-32g7"],"products":["protocol:yamux"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:25:53.701907451+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-31814","score":0.00481,"percentile":0.41489,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-4w32-2493-32g7","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-4w32-2493-32g7","summary":"Yamux vulnerable to remote Panic via malformed WindowUpdate credit","modified":"2026-03-16T17:16:28.081446Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"yamux","purl":"pkg:cargo/yamux","ranges":[">=0.13.0 <0.13.9"],"fixed":["0.13.9"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
