The gather was only\nflushing the range requested to be unmapped, not extending to the extra\nrange, resulting in a short invalidation if the caller hits this special\ncondition.\n\nThis was found by the new invalidation/gather test I am adding in\npreparation for ARMv8. Claude deduced the root cause.\n\nAs far as I remember nothing relies on unmapping a large entry, so this is\nlikely not a triggerable bug.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/50ecd96a28f712f8b682c0441f4cb9b086d28816","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ee6e69d032550687a3422504bfca3f834c7b5061"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:33:09.003606135+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-31735","score":0.0012,"percentile":0.01834,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
