Check that state under state_lock before\nrunning response verification and security initialization, then use a local\nsecured flag to decide whether to queue the secured-connection work after\nthe state transition. This keeps duplicate or late RESPONSE packets from\nre-running the setup path and removes the unlocked post-transition state\ntest.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-362"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/03fd2ef73cb4ffd0af100a95b634af54f474414e","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/0afdfd4941c1b60a1f5c361760daa970edca60cd","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/29b44d904dceb832be880def08b8cb17a0aba91c","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/6c3a0fbdafef8316e34ae22333e317a341e737cd","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a1a8efde03a40b6c658d580e96644d9b9a2a0d3a"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-21T03:43:09.190223697+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-31676","score":0.00471,"percentile":0.40456,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
