The uninit drops the\nlast reference and synchronously runs bnge_aux_dev_release(), which sets\nbd->auxr_dev = NULL and frees the underlying object. The subsequent\nbd->auxr_dev->net = bd->netdev then dereferences NULL, which is not a\ngood thing to have happen when trying to clean up from an error.\n\nAdd the missing return, as the auxiliary bus documentation states is a\nrequirement (seems that LLM tools read documentation better than humans\ndo...)","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-908"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/38c383ec6d37f4b5597f8e6a1f5c2ab31ea01d3a","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/87bc3557c708110d83086bf091328271298a44e3","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/8b0c25528cb64f71a73b5c0d49cbbcb68540a4ce"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:33:09.003606135+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-31621","score":0.00121,"percentile":0.01877,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
