That's the case when\nthe /dev/hidg* device is still opened. This obviously unsafe behavior\nlike oopes.\n\nThis fixes this by using cdev_alloc to put the cdev on the heap. That\nway, we can simply allocate a new one in hidg_bind.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/3aa77f5da0ecb00895411f4246d8a3e4db0343c2","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/5a229016ca3ac551294ec59770be9da94ec4bf63","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/75ecc46828ec377dd5692c677168ef6d64fd7123","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/81ebd43cc0d6d106ce7b6ccbf7b5e40ca7f5503d","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c6c0d13db5d0f8d465eabc14bd23d2b6a7247a43"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-22T16:41:11.231219466+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-31606","score":0.00156,"percentile":0.04647,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
