{"cve":"CVE-2026-31241","nvd":{"published":"2026-05-12T18:16:52.557","modified":"2026-10-19T22:10:00.130","status":"Analyzed","description":"The mem0 1.0.0 server lacks authentication and authorization controls for its memory deletion API endpoint (DELETE /memories). The endpoint allows unauthenticated users to delete memory records by specifying arbitrary user identifiers (e.g., user_id, run_id, agent_id) in the request query parameters. A remote attacker can exploit this by sending unauthenticated DELETE requests to erase memory data for any user, leading to unauthorized data loss and denial of service.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:L","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-306","CWE-862"],"references":["https://github.com/mem0ai/mem0","https://www.notion.so/CVE-2026-31241-35d1e139318881459ae5e6f0d7dc6f0f"],"products":["mem0:mem0"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-21T03:43:09.190223697+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-31241","score":0.00386,"percentile":0.32387,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-gq6f-qwv9-rf4j","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-gq6f-qwv9-rf4j","summary":"mem0 server lacks authentication and authorization controls for its memory deletion API endpoint","modified":"2026-07-13T16:43:43.800291396Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"mem0ai","purl":"pkg:pypi/mem0ai","ranges":["<=1.0.0"],"fixed":[]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2634","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2634","summary":"mem0 server lacks authentication and authorization controls for its memory deletion API endpoint","modified":"2026-07-13T16:32:14.657379485Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"mem0ai","purl":"pkg:pypi/mem0ai","ranges":["<=1.0.0"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
