Prior to 4.5.1, The TimescaleDB export module constructs SQL queries using string concatenation with unsanitized system monitoring data. The normalize() method wraps string values in single quotes but does not escape embedded single quotes, making SQL injection trivial via attacker-controlled data such as process names, filesystem mount points, network interface names, or container names. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.5.1.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:P","score":7.3},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-89"],"references":["https://github.com/nicolargo/glances/commit/39161f0d6fd723d83f534b48f24cdca722573336","https://github.com/nicolargo/glances/releases/tag/v4.5.1","https://github.com/nicolargo/glances/security/advisories/GHSA-x46r-mf5g-xpr6"],"products":["nicolargo:glances"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:25:53.701907451+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-30930","score":0.00378,"percentile":0.31821,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-x46r-mf5g-xpr6","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-x46r-mf5g-xpr6","summary":"Glances has SQL Injection via Process Names in TimescaleDB Export","modified":"2026-07-13T07:26:31.888830048Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"glances","purl":"pkg:pypi/glances","ranges":["<4.5.1"],"fixed":["4.5.1"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2165","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2165","summary":"","modified":"2026-07-13T07:15:30.440540212Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"glances","purl":"pkg:pypi/glances","ranges":["<4.5.1"],"fixed":["4.5.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
