From version 4.4.0 to before version 4.14.4, a path traversal vulnerability in Wazuh's cluster synchronization extraction routine allows an authenticated cluster peer to write arbitrary files outside the intended extraction directory on other cluster nodes. This can be escalated to code execution in the Wazuh service context by overwriting Python modules loaded by Wazuh components (proof of concept available as separate attachment). In deployments where the cluster daemon runs with elevated privileges, system-level compromise is possible. This issue has been patched in version 4.14.4.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.9},"cwes":["CWE-22","CWE-73"],"references":["https://github.com/wazuh/wazuh/releases/tag/v4.14.4","https://github.com/wazuh/wazuh/security/advisories/GHSA-m8rw-v4f6-8787","https://github.com/wazuh/wazuh/security/advisories/GHSA-m8rw-v4f6-8787"],"products":["wazuh:wazuh"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:33:09.003606135+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-30893","score":0.00399,"percentile":0.34153,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
