Prior to versions 8.6.9 and 9.5.0-alpha.9, the file metadata endpoint (GET /files/:appId/metadata/:filename) does not enforce beforeFind / afterFind file triggers. When these triggers are used as access-control gates, the metadata endpoint bypasses them entirely, allowing unauthorized access to file metadata. This issue has been patched in versions 8.6.9 and 9.5.0-alpha.9.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":6.3},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":5.9},"cwes":["CWE-862"],"references":["https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/security/advisories/GHSA-hwx8-q9cg-mqmc"],"products":["parseplatform:parse-server"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:25:53.701907451+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-30850","score":0.00307,"percentile":0.23559,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-hwx8-q9cg-mqmc","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-hwx8-q9cg-mqmc","summary":"Parse Server: File metadata endpoint bypasses `beforeFind` / `afterFind` trigger authorization","modified":"2026-03-16T03:03:37.622940Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"parse-server","purl":"pkg:npm/parse-server","ranges":["<8.6.9"],"fixed":["8.6.9"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"parse-server","purl":"pkg:npm/parse-server","ranges":[">=9.0.0-alpha.1 <9.5.0-alpha.9"],"fixed":["9.5.0-alpha.9"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
