{"cve":"CVE-2026-30240","nvd":{"published":"2026-03-09T21:16:18.843","modified":"2026-06-17T10:32:32.927","status":"Analyzed","description":"Budibase is a low code platform for creating internal tools, workflows, and admin panels. In 3.31.5 and earlier, a path traversal vulnerability in the PWA (Progressive Web App) ZIP processing endpoint (POST /api/pwa/process-zip) allows an authenticated user with builder privileges to read arbitrary files from the server filesystem, including /proc/1/environ which contains all environment variables — JWT secrets, database credentials, encryption keys, and API tokens. The server reads attacker-specified files via unsanitized path.join() with user-controlled input from icons.json inside the uploaded ZIP, then uploads the file contents to the object store (MinIO/S3) where they can be retrieved through signed URLs. This results in complete platform compromise as all cryptographic secrets and service credentials are exfiltrated in a single request.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":8.1},"cwes":["CWE-22","CWE-73"],"references":["https://github.com/Budibase/budibase/security/advisories/GHSA-pqcr-jmfv-c9cp","https://github.com/Budibase/budibase/security/advisories/GHSA-pqcr-jmfv-c9cp"],"products":["budibase:budibase"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:25:53.701907451+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-30240","score":0.00272,"percentile":0.19609,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
