{"cve":"CVE-2026-29055","nvd":{"published":"2026-03-26T19:16:58.810","modified":"2026-06-17T10:29:31.150","status":"Analyzed","description":"Tandoor Recipes is an application for managing recipes, planning meals, and building shopping lists. In versions prior to 2.6.0, the image processing pipeline in Tandoor Recipes explicitly skips EXIF metadata stripping, image rescaling, and size validation for WebP and GIF image formats. A developer TODO comment in the source code acknowledges this as a known issue. As a result, when users upload recipe photos in WebP format (the default format for modern smartphone cameras), their sensitive EXIF data — including GPS coordinates, camera model, timestamps, and software information — is stored and served to all users who can view the recipe. Version 2.6.0 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-1230"],"references":["https://github.com/TandoorRecipes/recipes/releases/tag/2.6.0","https://github.com/TandoorRecipes/recipes/security/advisories/GHSA-9g2j-xccg-9mhq"],"products":["tandoor:recipes"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:28:18.033120106+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-29055","score":0.00318,"percentile":0.24781,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
