{"cve":"CVE-2026-2899","nvd":{"published":"2026-03-05T04:15:57.233","modified":"2026-06-17T10:31:59.853","status":"Deferred","description":"The Fluent Forms Pro Add On Pack plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization in all versions up to, and including, 6.1.17. This is due to the `deleteFile()` method in the `Uploader` class lacking nonce verification and capability checks. The AJAX action is registered via `addPublicAjaxAction()` which creates both `wp_ajax_` and `wp_ajax_nopriv_` hooks. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary WordPress media attachments via the `attachment_id` parameter.\r\n\r\nNote: The researcher described file deletion via the `path` parameter using `sanitize_file_name()`, but the actual code uses `Protector::decrypt()` for path-based deletion which prevents exploitation. The vulnerability is exploitable via the `attachment_id` parameter instead.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:L","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-862"],"references":["https://fluentforms.com/docs/changelog/#3-toc-title","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/bb036338-abd7-4061-835d-038b765c68a6?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:24:17.937441719+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-2899","score":0.00258,"percentile":0.17567,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
