Prior to version 6.6.0, a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in Gradio allows an attacker to make arbitrary HTTP requests from a victim's server by hosting a malicious Gradio Space. When a victim application uses `gr.load()` to load an attacker-controlled Space, the malicious `proxy_url` from the config is trusted and added to the allowlist, enabling the attacker to access internal services, cloud metadata endpoints, and private networks through the victim's infrastructure. Version 6.6.0 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":8.6},"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/gradio-app/gradio/security/advisories/GHSA-jmh7-g254-2cq9"],"products":["gradio_project:gradio"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:24:17.937441719+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-28416","score":0.07262,"percentile":0.94348,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-jmh7-g254-2cq9","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-jmh7-g254-2cq9","summary":"Gradio has SSRF via Malicious `proxy_url` Injection in `gr.load()` Config Processing","modified":"2026-06-06T00:30:08.758537972Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"gradio","purl":"pkg:pypi/gradio","ranges":["<6.6.0"],"fixed":["6.6.0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-66","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-66","summary":"","modified":"2026-05-20T09:19:02.232478Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"gradio","purl":"pkg:pypi/gradio","ranges":["<6.6.0"],"fixed":["6.6.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
