{"cve":"CVE-2026-28415","nvd":{"published":"2026-02-27T22:16:24.497","modified":"2026-06-17T10:28:34.843","status":"Analyzed","description":"Gradio is an open-source Python package designed for quick prototyping. Prior to version 6.6.0, the _redirect_to_target() function in Gradio's OAuth flow accepts an unvalidated _target_url query parameter, allowing redirection to arbitrary external URLs. This affects the /logout and /login/callback endpoints on Gradio apps with OAuth enabled (i.e. apps running on Hugging Face Spaces with gr.LoginButton). Starting in version 6.6.0, the _target_url parameter is sanitized to only use the path, query, and fragment, stripping any scheme or host.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:N/I:L/A:N","score":4.7},"cwes":["CWE-601","CWE-200","CWE-284","CWE-330"],"references":["https://github.com/gradio-app/gradio/security/advisories/GHSA-pfjf-5gxr-995x"],"products":["gradio_project:gradio"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:24:17.937441719+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-28415","score":0.00288,"percentile":0.21407,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-pfjf-5gxr-995x","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-pfjf-5gxr-995x","summary":"Gradio has an Open Redirect in its OAuth Flow","modified":"2026-06-06T00:30:08.769246649Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"gradio","purl":"pkg:pypi/gradio","ranges":["<6.6.0"],"fixed":["6.6.0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-65","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-65","summary":"","modified":"2026-05-20T09:19:02.144766Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"gradio","purl":"pkg:pypi/gradio","ranges":["<6.6.0"],"fixed":["6.6.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
