Prior to versions to 2026.02.0, ISO15118_chargerImpl::handle_session_setup copies a variable-length payment_options list into a fixed-size array of length 2 without bounds checking. With schema validation disabled by default, oversized MQTT Cmd payloads can trigger out-of-bounds writes and corrupt adjacent EVSE state or crash the process. Version 2026.02.0 contains a patch.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:P","score":5.5},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H","score":9.1},"cwes":["CWE-787"],"references":["https://github.com/EVerest/EVerest/security/advisories/GHSA-7wmg-crc8-6xxf"],"products":["linuxfoundation:everest"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:28:18.033120106+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-27815","score":0.00283,"percentile":0.20827,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
