A stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in Mercator prior to version 2026.02.22 due to the use of unescaped Blade directives (`{!! !!}`) in display templates. An authenticated user with the User role can inject arbitrary JavaScript payloads into fields such as \"contact point\" when creating or editing entities. The payload is then executed in the browser of any user who views the affected page, including administrators. Version 2026.02.22 fixes the vulnerability.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:P/VC:H/VI:H/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.5},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://github.com/dbarzin/mercator/commit/839d231399944e43a865198262e96e0218252cc3","https://github.com/dbarzin/mercator/commit/9902ffd91f287e474729f514c77261f4ef7db8fe","https://github.com/dbarzin/mercator/commit/c58bb1d2fff18605c61d93cfaf77adca416c560a","https://github.com/dbarzin/mercator/security/advisories/GHSA-65p7-pph2-966g"],"products":["sourcentis:mercator"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:24:17.937441719+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-27639","score":0.00326,"percentile":0.25686,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
