These history records are saved in the ~/.cassandra/cqlsh_history file in the user's home directory.\n\nHowever, cqlsh does not redact sensitive information when saving command history. This means that if a user executes operations involving passwords (such as logging in or creating users) within cqlsh, these passwords are permanently stored in cleartext in the history file on the disk.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-532"],"references":["https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-21180","https://lists.apache.org/thread/ft77zrk2mzt8qsch4g6jqjj4901d22k3","http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2026/04/07/8"],"products":["apache:cassandra"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-26T22:26:44.656832877+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-27315","score":0.00162,"percentile":0.05377,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-fh34-c629-p8xj","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-fh34-c629-p8xj","summary":"Apache Cassandra has sensitive Information Leak in cqlsh","modified":"2026-04-09T10:11:15.577809410Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.apache.cassandra:cassandra-all","purl":"pkg:maven/org.apache.cassandra/cassandra-all","ranges":[">=4.0 <4.0.20"],"fixed":["4.0.20"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
