{"cve":"CVE-2026-2717","nvd":{"published":"2026-04-22T09:16:20.987","modified":"2026-06-17T10:31:35.807","status":"Deferred","description":"The HTTP Headers plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to CRLF Injection in all versions up to, and including, 1.19.2. This is due to insufficient sanitization of custom header name and value fields before writing them to the Apache .htaccess file via `insert_with_markers()`. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Administrator-level access and above, to inject arbitrary newline characters and additional Apache directives into the .htaccess configuration file via the 'Custom Headers' settings, leading to Apache configuration parse errors and potential site-wide denial of service.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-93"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/http-headers/tags/1.19.2/http-headers.php#L1098","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/http-headers/tags/1.19.2/http-headers.php#L745","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/http-headers/trunk/http-headers.php#L1098","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/http-headers/trunk/http-headers.php#L745","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/7716e77f-e899-4046-9421-86fc0c36c245?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:30:49.762551342+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-2717","score":0.00474,"percentile":0.41007,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
