{"cve":"CVE-2026-27167","nvd":{"published":"2026-02-27T22:16:22.820","modified":"2026-06-17T10:26:46.917","status":"Analyzed","description":"Gradio is an open-source Python package designed for quick prototyping. Starting in version 4.16.0 and prior to version 6.6.0, Gradio applications running outside of Hugging Face Spaces automatically enable \"mocked\" OAuth routes when OAuth components (e.g. `gr.LoginButton`) are used. When a user visits `/login/huggingface`, the server retrieves its own Hugging Face access token via `huggingface_hub.get_token()` and stores it in the visitor's session cookie. If the application is network-accessible, any remote attacker can trigger this flow to steal the server owner's HF token. The session cookie is signed with a hardcoded secret derived from the string `\"-v4\"`, making the payload trivially decodable. Version 6.6.0 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":5.9},"cwes":["CWE-522","CWE-798"],"references":["https://github.com/gradio-app/gradio/security/advisories/GHSA-h3h8-3v2v-rg7m"],"products":["gradio_project:gradio"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:24:17.937441719+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-27167","score":0.0051,"percentile":0.43522,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-h3h8-3v2v-rg7m","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-h3h8-3v2v-rg7m","summary":"Gradio: Mocked OAuth Login Exposes Server Credentials and Uses Hardcoded Session Secret","modified":"2026-06-05T18:00:13.867395972Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"gradio","purl":"pkg:pypi/gradio","ranges":[">=4.16.0 <6.6.0"],"fixed":["6.6.0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-63","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-63","summary":"","modified":"2026-05-20T09:19:01.970731Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"gradio","purl":"pkg:pypi/gradio","ranges":[">=4.16.0 <6.6.0"],"fixed":["6.6.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
