User-supplied input provided to the \"slug\" field of a component is stored without proper output encoding. While other fields are sanitized using safe_slash_html(), the slug parameter is written to XML and later rendered in the administrative interface without sanitation, resulting in persistent execution of arbitrary JavaScript. An authenticated administrator can inject malicious script content that executes whenever the affected Components page is viewed by any authenticated user, enabling session hijacking, unauthorized administrative actions, and persistent compromise of the CMS administrative interface.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:H/UI:P/VC:N/VI:N/VA:N/SC:L/SI:L/SA:N","score":4.8},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":4.8},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://getsimple-ce.ovh/","https://github.com/GetSimpleCMS-CE/GetSimpleCMS-CE/releases/tag/v3.3.22","https://github.com/GetSimpleCMS-CE/GetSimpleCMS-CE/security/advisories/GHSA-95f7-vm92-8gpx","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/getsimplecms-ce-stored-xss-via-components-php"],"products":["getsimple-ce:getsimple_cms"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:24:17.937441719+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-26351","score":0.00333,"percentile":0.26707,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
