The /execute_js, /screenshot, /pdf, and /html endpoints accept file:// URLs, allowing unauthenticated remote attackers to read arbitrary files from the server filesystem. An attacker can access sensitive files such as /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow, application configuration files, and environment variables via /proc/self/environ, potentially exposing credentials, API keys, and internal application structure.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:H/SI:N/SA:N","score":9.2},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["https://github.com/unclecode/crawl4ai/blob/main/docs/blog/release-v0.8.0.md","https://github.com/unclecode/crawl4ai/security/advisories/GHSA-vx9w-5cx4-9796","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/crawl4ai-docker-api-local-file-inclusion-via-file-url-handling"],"products":["kidocode:crawl4ai"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:23:35.260773158+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-26217","score":0.02097,"percentile":0.81553,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-vx9w-5cx4-9796","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-vx9w-5cx4-9796","summary":"Crawl4AI Has Local File Inclusion in Docker API via file:// URLs","modified":"2026-06-05T15:00:06.694299376Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"crawl4ai","purl":"pkg:pypi/crawl4ai","ranges":["<0.8.0"],"fixed":["0.8.0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-34","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-34","summary":"","modified":"2026-05-20T09:18:55.806419Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"crawl4ai","purl":"pkg:pypi/crawl4ai","ranges":["<0.8.0"],"fixed":["0.8.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
