Prior to 4.81.0, a vulnerability in Fleet’s password management logic could allow previously issued password reset tokens to remain valid after a user changes their password. As a result, a stale password reset token could be reused to reset the account password even after a defensive password change. Version 4.81.0 patches the issue.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":6.0},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-613"],"references":["https://github.com/fleetdm/fleet/security/advisories/GHSA-3458-r943-hmx4"],"products":["fleetdm:fleet"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-26T00:31:35.753532240+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-26060","score":0.00348,"percentile":0.28166,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-3458-r943-hmx4","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-3458-r943-hmx4","summary":"Fleet: Password reset tokens remain valid after password change for 24 hours","modified":"2026-04-02T21:26:06.828738904Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/fleetdm/fleet/v4","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/fleetdm/fleet/v4","ranges":["<4.43.5-0.20260113202849-bbc1aef2987d"],"fixed":["4.43.5-0.20260113202849-bbc1aef2987d"]}]},{"id":"GO-2026-4888","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-4888","summary":"Fleet: Password reset tokens remain valid after password change for 24 hours in github.com/fleetdm/fleet","modified":"2026-04-02T21:20:03.101441Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/fleetdm/fleet/v4","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/fleetdm/fleet/v4","ranges":["all versions"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
