{"cve":"CVE-2026-26010","nvd":{"published":"2026-02-11T21:16:21.117","modified":"2026-06-17T10:25:35.587","status":"Analyzed","description":"OpenMetadata is a unified metadata platform. Prior to 1.11.8, calls issued by the UI against /api/v1/ingestionPipelines leak JWTs used by ingestion-bot for certain services (Glue / Redshift / Postgres). Any read-only user can gain access to a highly privileged account, typically which has the Ingestion Bot Role. This enables destructive changes in OpenMetadata instances, and potential data leakage (e.g. sample data, or service metadata which would be unavailable per roles/policies). This vulnerability is fixed in 1.11.8.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:H/A:L","score":7.6},"cwes":["CWE-269"],"references":["https://github.com/open-metadata/OpenMetadata/releases/tag/1.11.8-release","https://github.com/open-metadata/OpenMetadata/security/advisories/GHSA-pqqf-7hxm-rj5r"],"products":["open-metadata:openmetadata"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:23:35.260773158+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-26010","score":0.00373,"percentile":0.31307,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-pqqf-7hxm-rj5r","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-pqqf-7hxm-rj5r","summary":"Leaky JWTs in OpenMetadata exposing highly-privileged bot users","modified":"2026-02-18T23:43:46.795947Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.open-metadata:openmetadata-sdk","purl":"pkg:maven/org.open-metadata/openmetadata-sdk","ranges":["<1.11.8"],"fixed":["1.11.8"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
