{"cve":"CVE-2026-26006","nvd":{"published":"2026-02-10T22:16:59.710","modified":"2026-06-17T10:25:35.140","status":"Analyzed","description":"AutoGPT is a platform that allows users to create, deploy, and manage continuous artificial intelligence agents that automate complex workflows. The autogpt before 0.6.32 is vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service due to the use of regex at Code Extraction Block. The two Regex are used containing the corresponding dangerous patterns \\s+[\\s\\S]*? and \\s+(.*?). They share a common characteristic — the combination of two adjacent quantifiers that can match the same space character (\\s). As a result, an attacker can supply a long sequence of space characters to trigger excessive regex backtracking, potentially leading to a Denial of Service (DoS). This vulnerability is fixed in 0.6.32.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-1333"],"references":["https://github.com/Significant-Gravitas/AutoGPT/blob/master/autogpt_platform/backend/backend/blocks/code_extraction_block.py#L106-L109","https://github.com/Significant-Gravitas/AutoGPT/blob/master/autogpt_platform/backend/backend/blocks/code_extraction_block.py#L86-L96","https://github.com/Significant-Gravitas/AutoGPT/commit/57a06f70883ce6be18738c6ae8bb41085c71e266","https://github.com/Significant-Gravitas/AutoGPT/releases/tag/autogpt-platform-beta-v0.6.32","https://github.com/Significant-Gravitas/AutoGPT/security/advisories/GHSA-m2wr-7m3r-p52c"],"products":["agpt:autogpt_platform"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:23:35.260773158+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-26006","score":0.00532,"percentile":0.45009,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
