Prior to 1.2.11, there is a flaw in the path sanitization logic allows an authenticated attacker with administrative privileges to bypass directory traversal protections. By using nested traversal sequences (e.g., ....//), an attacker can write arbitrary files to the server filesystem, including sensitive directories like runtime/scripts. This leads to Remote Code Execution (RCE) when the server reloads the malicious scripts. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.2.11.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:H/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.6},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.2},"cwes":["CWE-22","CWE-23","CWE-184"],"references":["https://github.com/frangoteam/FUXA/commit/f7a9f04b2ab97ab5421e4ec4e711c51e9f4b65c8","https://github.com/frangoteam/FUXA/releases/tag/v1.2.11","https://github.com/frangoteam/FUXA/security/advisories/GHSA-68m5-5w2h-h837"],"products":["frangoteam:fuxa"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:22:27.261130201+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-25951","score":0.01381,"percentile":0.72142,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-68m5-5w2h-h837","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-68m5-5w2h-h837","summary":"FUXA Affected by a Path Traversal Sanitization Bypass","modified":"2026-02-22T23:22:08.221171Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"fuxa-server","purl":"pkg:npm/fuxa-server","ranges":["<1.2.11"],"fixed":["1.2.11"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
